You're not expected to know this. These questions help you compare and avoid surprises.
“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
“Do you offer payment plans?”
Many funeral homes allow you to spread the cost over time. Ask about down payments, terms, and financing options.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Our family recently experienced the death of two family members within a 10-day time period. The entire staff was very caring and compassionate and had so much patience with us as we navigated not only one, but two devastating losses. They were very open and willing to work with us as we planned a very unique celebration of life for our brother. We cannot thank them enough and our community is very lucky to have Chris, Jeff and their staff to be there with us during some of the most difficult times of our lives.”
— M Britton
“The Meisenheimer-Page-Dady family has been wonderful to work with! They have made this most difficult time easier to bear and the decision making smoother. Can't say how much their support and after-care means as well!”
— Becky Holloway
“Christopher and the staff we're so understanding and compassionate after the sudden loss of our sister Rita. Although we had a short time period to work with due to holy week everything was taken care of efficiently and professionally... Forever grateful for their help in such a difficult time.”
