“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

My Sister & I lost our Mother 12/28/24 and entrusted C.L Lynch Mortuary to handle the services and care of our Mother. The services took place Saturday 1/18/25. We were out of state and needed someone locally in Los Angeles to handle this carefully for us. We were referred to Mr. Courtney Lynch by a relative and to say it was the best decision we made would be an understatement. Mr Lynch made this difficult time for us much easier. He was someone we could truly depend on. He kept it real with us, didn’t try to force us into anything that would cost more money, and he handled us with care. Knowing business needed to get done, Mr. Lynch understood we were still grieving. He made it so that we could do everything online or over the phone to avoid us making multiple trips to Los Angeles. When we finally made it to LA for the viewing that Friday 1/17/25, my Sister and I were at a loss for words, overwhelmed with emotions. Everything was just as we asked and was laid out perfectly. My Mom was simply beautiful 🥹😍 and the compassion given was off the charts. I didn’t know how my Mom was going to look but I can tell the staff took time, care, and pride in fixing my Momma up. I truly Thank you guys for that. The next day for the actual service at our Family Church, Mr. Lynch and his staff were on their jobs. The way they took care of my entire Family during the service and gravesite ceremony was heartwarming. They were professional yet warm & compassionate. They truly cared and it was felt by everyone that attended. I would recommend C.L Lynch Mortuary to any and every one. I’ve experienced a few Funeral Homes but none like C.L Lynch Mortuary. They really are a class act and will take care of you and your loved one.
