“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I hate to have to write this, but I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with this monument company. In May 2022, I purchased a granite memorial bench with core holes drilled so that my mother’s and my son’s ashes could be placed inside. About a year later, around May 2023, I began to notice some mild discoloration on the surface of the bench. When I reached out to the company, I was told that this was “normal” and likely due to the granite holding water, and that I shouldn’t worry. Unfortunately, the discoloration continued to worsen and became very noticeable — and honestly painful to look at each time I visited. In July 2025 I contacted the company's management team and expressed my disappointment with the quality of the granite. To their credit, they promised to make it right and replaced the bench in August 2025. However, only a few months later, the new bench is already showing discoloration again. I strongly suspect there’s a design flaw related to the core holes drilled into the bench, which may be allowing moisture inside. None of the other granite memorials at the cemetery show this kind of staining or deterioration. I’m heartbroken and frustrated that after all this time and money, I’m still facing the same issue — especially at such a meaningful place meant to honor my loved ones. I sincerely hope the company reevaluates their design and materials so that other families don’t have to go through the same disappointment.”
