“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Highly recommend this location. My brother and I were in search of a funeral home and cremation site for our father in December 2022 and right before Christmas, when not many places were around. Sahara was very attentive and returned our call right away. She made every effort to get us in right away, as we were from out of town and only had three days to make arrangements before heading back home to NY for the holiday. Sahara got us in the next day and spent time explaining how the process would go and did all the paperwork. From that point forward Sahara stayed in contact every step of the way and made sure to keep us informed of the status of everything. They were very quick to do the cremation for us, as well as provide me the proper paperwork to transport the cremains. The place is a bit hidden in the back of the cemetery and you could easily miss this little gem. Please reach out to Sahara if you are in need of great service and are looking for something quick and affordable. They have everything you need right there for your loved one. For someone who lived outside the state and in NY, working with them in NM over the phone and email was super easy.
