Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Horrible Experience – No Compassion at All This funeral home owner refused services for my deceased uncle because we did not choose their full package and only need a memorial service, As a result, my uncle was left lying on the floor from noon until 7 PM like a piece of trash. There was absolutely no sympathy or respect shown. We were treated with racial discrimination and suffered psychological mistreatment during an already devastating time. The owner even told me he was “not interested,” as if we were talking about servicing a car, not saying goodbye to a human being. Completely unprofessional and heartless.
