“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I read with dismay the 2 recent 1 star reviews regarding this funeral home ...and I was greatly surprised. My grandmother Bertha Emrick who owned a dairy with my grandfather Anthony Emrick in Plains PA for many many years had her funeral service here back in September 2008. The Funeral Director and his staff were very compassionate and helpful , and the service was beautiful. And even though that was 11 years ago...The positive loving memories I have of the loving care and kindness that was provided for my grandmother prompted me to write this review. I am very sorry for the experiences that those two reviewers had, loosing a loved one and planning for their final arrangements is a very sensitive and difficult time my , heart goes out to them. I would only say that was the experience we had. God Bless anyone who needs to make arrangements who is reading this post”
