“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“My Father was ill and I purchased a direct cremation service online thru their website when he passed away he wasn't picked up for a week I was told it was because another company operates the online purchases and they hadn't received a record of his file. The only reason we found out was because my sister called to find out the cost of viewing services. Then when I called to pick up the ashes I was told they couldn't cremate him because of paperwork from the Hospital there was no communication To me if I hadn't reached out to them asking for my Father's ashes. Then director Alfonso Made a very disrespectful comment when I mentioned my father not being picked up for over a week. He did apologize for the comment. It took 17 days for the direct cremation and for me to get the ashes.”
