“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Our family is very grateful for the care and compassion we received during such a difficult time. They did a beautiful job with our loved one—she looked so peaceful and truly beautiful. It meant a lot to our family to see her treated with such dignity and respect. Christine, the funeral director, was amazing. She took the time to answer all of our questions and helped guide us through every step. She made sure all of our concerns were addressed and was incredibly caring and professional. We also appreciated that the pricing was fair and reasonable. We are very thankful to Christine and the entire staff for their support and for helping us honor our loved one in such a beautiful way.”

“I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share our experience in hopes it helps others make an informed decision. We buried my uncle through Belle Funeral Home, and unfortunately, the entire experience was incredibly disappointing and distressing. From the start, there was a clear lack of empathy from the staff, particularly during such a devastating time for our family. The funeral home director was shockingly unprofessional — wheeling open caskets around the building in full view, taking loud business calls (on speakerphone, no less), all while ushering us in for the viewing. It felt chaotic, rushed, and deeply disrespectful. To make matters worse, they changed the scheduled time of the viewing with little notice — a huge issue since we had family flying in from across the country. It created unnecessary stress and confusion on a day that was already emotionally overwhelming. The entire experience lacked the compassion, sensitivity, and professionalism you'd expect from a funeral service. I would not recommend Belle Funeral Home to anyone. There are far more respectful and considerate options available during such an important and emotional time.”

“I could write a book on the service & treatment my family received.. But all I will say is when you die you won’t be able to take any MONEY with you this goes to the director of the funeral home. Yes I agree you have to make your money for the services you provide but the lack of empathy you display in the profession you are in because all you see is the dollar sign is a DISGRACE… 1 of my MAIN issues if/when you call the funeral home to get any kind of information there are people answering the phones (a +) but you can’t get any information on anything… Every time you call you will be told I will pass your message/question on to Christine… & she will get back to you & Christine is the PROBLEM… The fewer interactions with Christine this funeral home would be 1/2 way decent…. Though she wasn’t rude to me on the phone (cause all I could do is call cause I live in GA) She treated my family badly. My aunt went to RI after my dad passed to see his body @ the funeral home & wasn’t allowed because no payment was received yet! Really??? That’s how you do a grieving family member… I will not say anymore… But I will say my dad got no service because of how this funeral home operated. I am disgusted I / we have no closure since my father passed on 5/29/24 & never will this funeral home made this passing of a dear & very close family member a pure tragedy… & simply because of GREED… Money that we was & did pay but needed a little extra time to come up with….”
