“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

They all have had good experiences with them. So, that’s what I did. Doug did a great job helping me find the perfect one. I wanted black granite so it took a couple months to come in from overseas. It always takes black granite awhile from what I’ve read online and what all the monument companies told me. We were so pleased when we realized it was set. It’s beautiful! It’s also a good size and it was hundreds cheaper than the other monument companies quoted me, for a much lesser stone. My brother, my aunt and myself were all chipping in to get it paid, with my brother and I paying larger amounts. I didn’t know until after it was set, my brother hadn’t paid his portion. I thought it was all paid in full. I was shocked Bowling’s set the headstone anyway without payment. No other place would even consider doing that. Not a chance. I appreciate their helpfulness from start to finish. They were always kind and patient. My family will finally be moving back to London in two years and I will always remember how great Bowling’s has been and use them from now on.”
