“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Only open to the public on Memorial Day, this mausoleum is MASSIVE! In 1901 this was the first and is now the oldest crematorium west of the Mississippi. Trust me when I say, there are parts of this place that look to be every bit of those 122 years old. Those dark rooms with only a squint of light peering in from a dirty vine covered window, crumbling facades, peeling paint, dusty window sills, and damp floors made me feel a bit uneasy and a little sad. But mostly, I was in awe that a place like this exists. It can be easy to get lost in the never ending hallways within the 8 stories of this building… most of which are built into the hillside above a swamp. (It’s estimated there are over 5 miles of halls!)
