Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“My sister passed away and was scheduled for cremation . I was told by Jerry that I could be present during the cremation phase. Kept checking in to confirm the schedule for about three weeks. Finally received a call from Jerry that cremation had been performed and her ashes was at his facility. Was also informed by Jerry that the crematory located in Poca Wv has a rule that no one can witness the process. I was told that I could when Jerry gladly accepted my payment.
