Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”

“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

I found my son a devastating sight The man Christopher who was setting stuff up asked if I would like to see my son before they took him to be cremated . I was a little unsure but I'm so glad I did. They had my son covered with his arm and hand out. He was so cold. They had about 3 blankets on him a beautiful quilt on top. I was just amazed at how caring and comforting they were with us. 3rd time was yesterday when my husband and I went and prearranged our end of life stuff. We delt with Christopher again He remembered us and was just so awesome again. I give them 100% . Such caring people. There is so much they did that they didn't have to.
