Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Dangerous dog, rude staff, and a threatening employee; avoid at all costs. The property has a street-side gate with widely spaced bars that allows the resident dog's jaws to reach through. My dog was nearly bitten while simply sniffing the gate on a public sidewalk. The warning sign posted is positioned well above a child's eye level; it's only a matter of time before a child is seriously hurt. While we walked by having a calm conversation about the safety hazard, I was rudely interrupted and talked over by both employee usher and the resident. The situation escalated into a verbal altercation, at which point a funeral home usher actually removed his coat and threatened to physically fight me. All this while a service is going on. This is a place of business meant to serve grieving families. The conduct I witnessed was shocking, unprofessional, and frankly dangerous. I would strongly caution anyone, especially those with children or pets, to avoid this establishment entirely.”
