“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Holman Howe took amazing care of everything for me and my daughter after my husband (her dad) passed on October 19, 2024. I was in shock at his passing and Holman Howe made the complicated process less stressful and manageable as I knew nothing about where to begin. They took care of two services - one here in Lebanon and the other almost three hours away for the burial service. They took care of contacting many veteran organizations so that my husband had full military honors and so much more. I couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect. They created an awesome video of photos across the years with three songs my daughter and I chose. Holman Howe created multiple photo boards to display at the visitation and arranged for a beautiful display of photos in frames, military honors (Purple Heart) and so much more we wanted our friends and family to enjoy. They even framed photos that were not in frames. They created the most personal and beautiful military tri-fold pamphlet with my husband’s obituary and multiple photos included, as well as had laminated bookmarks made. Holman Howe took care of ordering flowers, setting up a family memorial, and providing a way for family and friends to order flowers and plants and arranged them beautifully. The casket matched the vault perfectly and they had the Marine emblem etched on top of the vault along with my husband’s name. They took care of getting death certificates and displaying the flag that I was presented with by two Marines and had the flag displayed in a gorgeous wooden shadow box. Everyone including the owners were so professional and most caring and kind. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Holman Howe.
