“When my Grandmother had passed away in 2018, my Mother/Uncle and I started customizing her grave site. My Uncle bought 2 knockout rose bushes, my Mom and I bought fencing for the side and front and installed it. We had designed rocks mounted onto her headstone. They were fine and untouched until last year. Their maintenance crew mangled the fencing and threw it out. The rose bushes were ripped out of the ground and thrown out. When we went up to visit her site looked like it had been destroyed. The rocks we had mounted on her headstone were gone. I'll be making a trip up in the next few days to get measurements to have more solid pieces placed on there. Reaching anyone is impossible but what was destroyed was over $200 worth of items. The disrespect to one's site is insane here especially since my Grams paid for 3 double burial plots, 3 headstones while she was alive. Her family is buried out there.”

“BROOKLYN LADIES WHO WALKABOUT: My walking buddy Renée and I walked about the Greenwood Cemetery built in 1838..It took approximately 1.5 hours to get to from each of our starting points.. We met up in downtown Brooklyn across from the Barclay Center..Greenwood Cemetery is a landmark, with one of my favorite artist spending eternity there (Jean Michel Basquiat). It was absolutely a beautiful and scenic walking trail. Green-Wood Cemetery is a 478-acre (193 ha) cemetery in the western portion of Brooklyn, New York City. The cemetery is located between South Slope/Greenwood Heights, Park Slope, Windsor Terrace, Borough Park, Kensington, and Sunset Park, and lies several blocks southwest of Prospect Park. It is generally bounded by 20th Street to the northeast, Fifth Avenue to the northwest, 36th and 37th Streets to the southwest, Fort Hamilton Parkway to the south, and McDonald Avenue to the east.
