Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I sent an email on Monday to Tillman's Funeral Home with my concerns on how they handled my Uncle Robert James Evans on Friday 12:00 noon with the service first they couldn't find the church they brought the deceased on the property as we begin the service and as we walked in and I approach the casket I didn't even know who it was I was so displeased at their service in the way they had him not only did they not shave him they put his clothes on any kind of way his tie wasn't even straight I emailed my concerns The late William Tillman would have never allowed my uncle to be seen that way he was a very special man to our family and he didn't deserve to be laid out the way Funeral Home did him from my understanding that this is a different Funeral Home using Tillman's name I don't know what mortuary school that they attended but I must say that they need to go back and learn how to wash and dress and handle the deceased with dignity it's something that my Uncle Robert didn't receive it look like they put him on his suit I just laid him in there his head was tilted his mouth halfway open on the side again his tie was crooked he definitely wasn't the same man that left Jacksonville Florida that I seen on Friday in Greenville Florida it should be a law against this I'm moaning my uncle and the way he was put away they need to close Tillman's Funeral Home down I would never use or recommend.”
