“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”

“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

When the day came to cremate our daughter, we had the option to sit at the funeral home while it happened and I cannot imagine not having had the option. Apparently it’s not common to have that privilege, and all I can say is thank you to Jackie and Skip for allowing us to be there for our girl that day. They have a beautiful quiet chapel where we sat, played worship music, and cried. Truly such a healing experience for my husband and I. Never thought I’d have to leave a review for a funeral home at this stage of my life, but I can’t speak well enough about them and want others to know how wonderful our experience was.
