“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“My grandmother died at Kindred hospital in Paramount. Kindred uses this place as their morgue. We were absolutely horrified by the man who came to pick her up. We watched other patients who died that had used their own mortuary be picked up and neatly tuck with a white sheet. Not these people who picked up my grandma. When the man arrived my teenaged nephew asked if he could stay in the room while he loaded her onto gurney. He got very rude and said id rather you didnt so I can do my job. When he did wheel her out he had thrown a big black blanket over her sloppily dragging on the floor. My sister followed him out to see my grandma for last time. What she saw the man driving shocked her. He drove a old beat up mini van maybe 1980's dented up no window tent. He just put our grandma in the back of that junk.with gold letting on side. It was very upsetting. So we immediately started making arrangements to get her out of those people care. I can only imagine the way they treated her body when we weren't there. So I got another morgue to go pick her up within a couple hours of her arriving. They would not release her body. They said tomorrow from 9 to 5. We'll tomorrow came and they still refused to release her body. This time saying their staff was on vacation and they couldn't do anything until Monday. My grandma died on Tuesday. They forced us to wait almost a week to pick her up. I dont know how they are still in buisness. Dont use this place to pick up your loved one. Very unperfessional in so many ways. Made our grandmas passing even harder having to see and deal with these people.”

“When my son was murdered in prison mulecreek 2018 I called over 20 funeral homes to pick my son up they all wanted 2500 to 5000 to transport him back to longbeach affordable burial did it no questions ask didn't ask me for money down they were kind caring to me dolores and her team took care of my baby boy they had great price for cremation and memori l dolores and her staff donated the casket dallas cowboys was his memorial they did the flowers and centerpieces for tables for free they made sure we was ok comfortable this mortuary does not care about the money they care about ur loved ones who passed they did a special presentation for my son they went above and beyond there means to help me thru the worst day of my life and this is God's honest truth I've never seen no mortuary like this in my 57 years alive I give them 100 stars and god bless there services always thank u again for what you did and I truly appreciate your mortuary always god bless”
