“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“When you first arrive, you have to be mindful of the driveways. The closest driveway to the light gate will be closed. The other two are the main entrance and exit gate. Outside of that you may have two services going on at the same time. As we all know this does happen! The staffs are professional. They will greet you and make your family feel respected and understood. Going into the building you will notice the courtesy signs of turning your phones on do not disturb and not take photos. They have a beautiful chapel area we were on the South end of the building and it had white and gray granite throughout. When I say the word throughout I mean 10 foot walls from the top to the bottom floor is all covered multiple rolls for seating and additional seating on the back wall depending on how big your family is, it is fit to accommodate up to 50 to 60 people comfortably. Now, if that number is beyond that you will have to work with the staff in getting an arrangement of rotating those people in and out. They also have two screens inside for and overall great service. They also offer repass services, which I found to be amazing. The staff again A1 top-notch service as they presented everything and courses from beginnings course of a salad to meal and a dessert. And no, they do not all come to the table at the same time! You will need to check with the staff on the number of people you were going to have and what you would like to have served . The parking lot area has plenty of parking. It’s more of leaving going out Sycamore view to the expressway use caution or go the opposite direction to Summer Avenue and have a safe rest of your day. Serenity funeral home gave my family, the comfort and respect of sending our loved one off to glory.”
