“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I live in California and my mother in law passed away in Joplin Mo. I couldn't make the service so when I was on speaker phone with my family as they were talking to funeral representatives they said they would stream it so we could see it. We'll they didnt. I called them right before service started and they said they were having trouble with it and would get it fixed. They did not. Never even called me back to tell me. My niece who was present said they told her we didnt ask for it to be streamed. Not true! Had my California family gathered at my house to watch together and now we will never have that memory. Very hurt and disappointed.”
