“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
“Do you offer payment plans?”
Many funeral homes allow you to spread the cost over time. Ask about down payments, terms, and financing options.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Naomi and her partner are rude and unprofessional. They both toss the bodies around like their garbage. I've never witnessed so much blatant disregard and disrespect for the deceased in all my yrs.”

“I was honestly lost for words when I (a non-family member) witnessed how unprofessionally and callously Baird treated the mother of a young person who died in a tragic accident in Bend this summer. I’ve found my words now and I am writing on every review platform I can to hopefully both spare another family and spark change from the powers that be at Baird I listened to Baird deny this mother 5 minutes to sit with her child. She wasn’t asking to have a viewing - just 5 minutes to be in space and reassure her child she was there, and she had been there, and she would be there, to bring them home. I don’t even know what words capture the depth of my disgust at their sterile disregard for the family’s wishes. The way they spoke about her child and the ‘inconvenience’ they repeatedly insinuated when informed of the family’s ask for a burial rather than cremation and arranging transport back East. Do we have a good funeral home in Bend anymore? Would so appreciate knowing if there is one that treats those who have passed and their living loved ones with love and dignity.”

“The expierence I had was above and beyond in the help I received at Baird from Naomi. Thank you for helping me at one of the worst times a mother can have. Thank you.”
— Janet Willis
