“No one likes funerals, but I have to say that Lawn does a beautiful job. The staff is so friendly and kind, (special shout-out to Bailey, the sweetest.) The space is lovely, and it gives you a sense of calm in a hard time. They made everything as easy as it can be during a difficult time.”

“In February, my family faced the hardest days of our lives when my father passed away unexpectedly. We reached out to Lawn Funeral Home because they are located right around the corner from our home. From the moment we sat down with Dan to make the arrangements, we immediately felt comfortable and supported. Dan guided us through everything with compassion and expertise. He was incredibly knowledgeable about my father’s military benefits — something we hadn’t even thought about — and he even went with us to the cemetery to help with those arrangements. Dan also coordinated the church services and luncheon, taking so much off our shoulders during an overwhelming time. The wake and funeral services were truly beautiful. The facility is clean, modern, and very well-kept. The staff was wonderful, and the slideshow they created was absolutely beautiful. Even a week later, when I returned to pick up the death certificates, the kindness and care from the staff remained just as genuine. It’s heartbreaking that we needed these services, but I am so grateful that we chose Lawn Funeral Home. They made an incredibly devastating time as smooth and comforting as possible.”

“I am only giving a three star review because there are some pros and cons that has happened during my dad’s funeral two months ago. Pros: The director and workers are nice and easy to work with. They are also very understanding. The arrangements for my dad’s funeral was an easy and smooth process, even if some things were last minute. The funeral home is very clean and smells nice. I also like how there’s a therapy dog (the dog is so cute!). The transportation of my dad to the cremation center was also smooth as well with no problems. The bathrooms and the break/lunch room are clean. I love how there’s the break/lunch room for guests who are hungry or need to take a break. I also love how there is a private room where immediate friends/family can stay in to put their belongings in or have a quiet space. The parking lot is quite huge. My dad has a LOT (and by a lot, I mean around 150-250 friends and family (or maybe more)), so I’m glad that this funeral home has a huge parking lot to accommodate for the guests. I really appreciate how even when the time of my dad’s funeral has ended, the workers didn’t rush us to leave and let my sister and I have our final moments with my dad. Cons: My sister and I have requested that before the funeral, we did NOT want anyone to be inside the funeral home before us because my sister and I wanted to have a private talk and some alone time with our dad before anyone can see him. On the day of the funeral, we came 2 hours early before the start of the funeral to do some preparations and to be with our dad alone. We never knew that other relatives would be arriving early. We thought at first it wasn’t a big deal (since they didn’t enter the room where my dad was being held) until they were allowed inside by one of the workers (without consulting my sister or me) to enter the room my dad was in before my sister and I even got to see him and have that private talk. Because one person was allowed in, it caused a chain reaction and made many others follow inside as well when we have told everyone that they cannot go inside yet. There were no preventive measures for this, which upset my sister and I because the private talk we had with our dad one last time was awkward since everyone could hear from the other side of the door. The day after that for my dad’s cremation, when my sister and I came back to the funeral home, there were already people inside before us and they were singing prayers to my dad. As I have said before, we stated clearly that we didn’t want anyone inside before my sister and I, and we have stated clearly that we didn’t want anything related to religion (out of respect for my dad because my dad is an atheist). Again, my sister and I felt upset since there were no preventive measures for this. Even when we try to tell our relatives about what is going to happen and what we want for my dad’s funeral, they will not listen to my sister and I which is why we were hoping that the workers would help implement preventative measures to stop my relatives from doing things their own way and disregarding my sister and I’s wishes.”
