“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
“Do you offer payment plans?”
Many funeral homes allow you to spread the cost over time. Ask about down payments, terms, and financing options.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“There are several stages to the responsibility Susan and Jason took on. It started with them patiently sitting with my wife and her mother to create a burial trust. They were wonderful in explaining the trust and why and how to create it. It very accurately represented my mother-in-law's wishes and that minimized the stress of future decisions because they were already made. Next was when she passed, 6 years later. Seamlessly, they provided retrieval after a single phone call and got the process rolling on everything else. They reviewed the plans with us and made sure we were still comfortable with yesteryear's decisions. Then they arranged everything with the church and the cemetery for all else to happen with ease and without problems. The process of the wake went very smooth and they were very attentive to everyone's needs. Their interface with the church service was nearly invisible and appropriately timed.
