“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”

“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“This is an old place where my family is buried at! My father joined his mom and sister. The services was amazing. The cemetery is not! We can not put a bench because it’s to close to the street but yet I see others there. We can not leave anything on the grave only on the headstone. Flowers are tossed away fast and his dirt is sinking in. This is the only 2nd year he’s been buried. Grass hardly grows there and there is hardly any water hose to water it myself. I live in dallas and it makes me sad I can not make it look pretty. It looks dry and very sad. He’s where he wanted to be though. Would like to have trash cans around since there’s trash an tree limbs by my grandmas grave. Being by the street is not a good place to bury your loved one but it might be cheaper.”
