“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“We highly recommend A Dove Above ! Emily at A Dove Above provided two beautiful, solid white doves for our recent wedding at Baker Buffalo Creek Winery in Lawndale, NC. Emily delivered the doves to the venue in an adorable white heart-shaped basket perfect for the occasion. The birds waited patiently to be released in memory of our loved ones who have passed. When my husband and I opened the basket, the birds paused momentarily as everyones' attention was on the basket. Then they took off as everyone cheered. We could hear the "oohs and ahhs!" as everyone watched the beautiful birds fly off. We had learned from Emily that the birds would fly right back to their home. She was extremely knowledgeable and obviously cares a lot about her doves. The next day, we returned the basket to her and learned that she had watched and "our" doves had made it back to her safely. We saw where the doves are kept on her property and as animal lovers, we were very impressed! The doves are kept safe in a very large enclosure.
