“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

With the loss of our beloved mother, our emotions were in turmoil so cost was far from our minds, but Wah Wing Sang offered us a very reasonable traditional Chinese funeral package. Everything was spelled out, and we were not pressured on what to select. My mother spoke only Chinese, my generation was not fluent, and our kids and grandkids understood little to no Chinese. Without us having to ask, the funeral director conducted the service in both Chinese and English. This inclusiveness made the traditional Chinese service more meaningful to us, and gave us a sense of closure. They did a nice job with my mother's makeup, and even helped us coordinate riders going to the cemetery. Their drivers were courteous and efficient. Their staff communicated with us effectively in English, and contacted the cemetery and monument company multiple times to help us ensure my mother's monument was completed in a timely manner.
