“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

These people know that they are dealing with customers wresting with grief and going through some of the hardest times, yet they talk to their customers like they are annoying them . I had to meet with them before the viewing of my family member to sign paperwork, and any question I asked must of been the dumbest question they ever heard of and gave unnecessary attitude in their answers. When we come back to the viewing, the body looked horrible! He was darker, looked swollen, and looked like he took a bath filled with vaseline. When we asked if we could take some of the moisturizer off, the worker said “what, you want him to look ashy?”— just extremely defensive and tactless in the situation. Please please please do not take your loved one here!! They will not treat you or the deceased with the respect your family deserves.”
