“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”

“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Not very pleasent, they make it known they only deal with "their kind". Sad that there's racism even in death. Very disappointed in the services I was provided. It goes beyond being racist, the whole funeral home dirty, unorganized. I was up charged for a crooked casket. Beyond disappointed, glad it's over too bad I can't have a do over. To disrespect a dead persons family to their face while paying THOUSANDS of dollars in a tragic time of a person's life is crazy work. The older woman in the office is beyond rude. You think working there she would have a better perspective, but she's still rude and beyond disrespectful. I hope when it's my time my people choose a different place and If you're thinking about choosing a different funeral home this is your sign to do so. my ma would be disappointed in how they did her.”
