“This organization has an opportunity to serve its community in a passive way that does not affect their bottom line. They have a large parcel of open space next to the cemetery where people used to go and let their dogs play off leash. They have decided to change that. So while there is no one out there except the occasional attentive dog owner allowing their dog 20 minutes of bliss, they've hired a man named Jim to chase people down in the open space where, again, there is no one around and aggressively confront them. I was walking alone with my dog. No one was around. Jim runs up to me, gets in my face and shouts at me. I shouted back. While I am legally allowed to walk my dog on leash and could have just put my dog on the leash and kept going, I started walking back to my car and he paced on my tail the entire time. It is one thing to enforce a rule, it is another thing to hire someone to bully people out of the space. To intimidate, to frighten, to gas light. He said my dog was aggressive simply because he's a German Shepherd. In that moment, I was wishing I'd trained my dog to attack so I could protect myself but my dog does not know how to attack just because he's a German Shepherd. There is training for that, to which I am now considering enrolling my dog in to reduce my vulnerability in exactly this kind of situation. When I called the office to report this man's behavior, the woman who answered was indifferent. She is of the belief, as so many people are currently emboldened to believe, that if you don't follow rules, you deserve aggression and mistreatment. He also had a photo of another woman he was tracking and when he first came up to me asked if I were her. Creep. This organization does not optimize their ability to offer this unused space to the community. And further, they believe that aggression is a solution to someone walking alone, with their dog on their property. To me, that makes them an organization that I will not use or recommend to anyone.”

“Saw someone say that they saw people walking dogs. It's totally fine walking dogs in a cemetery. It's not like the dogs are going to eat the bodies. Beautiful landscape and great paths. There are even hiking trails. Good for a short walk”

“Showed up today it was so overgrown around the headstone the ground is sunk in so I returned with tools so that the stone names were visible. I have family members all over town at different cemeteries and this one is the worst I have ever seen. It use to be well cared for such a disappointment. I am calling tomorrow to discuss this”
