“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

Thank GOD for the service they provide, in our case there weren’t funds left for cremation of an estranged relative and when I called around for prices they ranged from $1,800 (and that was just the starting point) to well over $4,000. If you are reading the reviews and considering them please don’t hesitate, the one bad review that states “cheap is always cheap” upon my further investigation is currently a funeral home director & owner in Livingston MT that I assume is trying to discourage anyone from using Central MT Crematorium, not a customer that actually used them, shame on him! Upon further research I found where other funeral homes have even tried shutting down Central MT Crematorium! I am assuming it is because of the tremendous price difference?
