“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“How does one begin to suddenly lose a family member. Fortunately both my parent's made their arrangements years prior with Art N. so when my father passed first in 2021 we knew what to do. Since he is a Air Force Veteran, my mother will be buried with him so his beautiful Urn, which was chosen by him, was kept with me in my living room waiting for his bride of 70 years. In October 2024 we received the news of the sudden passing of my mother and again, the procedure was duplicated. Being an only child I could not stress enough how grateful to both my parent's for pre-arranging for the inevitable. I wanted to honor them both together so the staff at Luyben helped me with all the details for a beautiful service Officiating with a Priest and current Air Force Representatives for a Formal Military Honor including the folding of the Flag.
