“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I didn't want to like this place because my mother was the one who chose it AND because it's so far to have had my dad buried here. Well, we buried him at Rosehill Cemetery, and it was a beautiful service. I went back a year later to visit my dad I got a little lost looking for the section. There was a worker on a tracker that was more than helpful and kind who directed me in the correct direction. When I went to the office to ask about the headstone and a ton of other questions, the lady at the desk was kind, patient and very informative. I was given a couple of papers with information, and I was happy to take them with me. I went to the website to see what rules and regulations they have about placing a plaque or something for my dad. It's a bit confusing but I finally got the information I needed. It's peaceful being there, the cemetery is clean, and the staff is wonderful. Thank you for making this tough situation easier for me. It means a lot to me. My daddy doesn't have a headstone yet, so I don't have much to show but just knowing that he's there and the location isn't terrible, makes me feel more at ease.”
