“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.

“What's included vs. what's extra?”

Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“On the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States Marine Corps (I'm posting this review on November 10th, 2025), I wanted to share some pictures that I took while passing through Mobile in October 2025. Pinecrest Cemetery is the final resting place of Marines, and featured characters of The Pacific, Sidney Phillips and Eugene Sledge. The Pacific features Mr. Phillips' experience during the battle of Guadalcanal in 1942, and Dr. Sledge's later experience during the battles of Peleliu and Okinawa in 1944 and 1945, respectively. Following the war, Dr. Sledge would go to write perhaps the greatest WWII memoir ever published, "With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa". As somebody who never served in uniform, I'm extremely thankful that Dr. Sledge wrote his memoir in such detail that people like me can appreciate what these men went through, and the suffering they endured to ensure that others like myself can live in freedom and peace. God bless Mr. Phillips and Dr. Sledge, as well as all other Marines who served with such distinction and honor. Happy 250th Birthday Marines!”
