“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“If I could give a negative review I would. My father's headstone was purchased in June of 2022. They misplaced the draft of what they headstone so it did not get ordered until August of 2022. The headstone was finally placed on his grave in April of 2023. It had a significant typo. I was told it would be replaced at no cost - at the latest of August 2023. It still has not been corrected (October 2023). Sarah will not return my calls or emails. I have left over 10 voicemails and my calls are never returned. What recourse do I have at this point???”

“They need to do a lot better job! Especially keeping the grounds mowed during the warmer seasons and to repair their tire/tractor ruts they make when using a truck/ backhoe during a burial. They have driven over several head stone markers and have broken them in half or worse. They have not replaced any of them or others which when I asked about that issue they said they would send in an order to replace all the broken ones. That was 4 years ago and no action has been taken on their part to fix any of these headstones. Not real happy with how they treat the cemetary grounds or how they respect the markers of the people buried here. When you have to carry your own mower and mow a family members gravesite because the grass is way too high and when too many headstone markers are broken or sunknin because they were run over them it may be time to hire better knowledgeable personnel and new management.”
