“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“While we received kindness I was unhappy about a few different things while the Moss funeral home worked with us. Our consultation lasted several hours due to how the software kept crashing. During this time the director didn't make a note to keep my mother's finger print for us and since she had a cremation there was no way to fix the situation. On top of that they charged double the amount that the other funeral homes we were told about. Even with the barest package it was well over 2k. Overall I was disappointed and frustrated by all of this in what was already one of the worst times in my life. When I suffer another loss I'll likely go somewhere else myself.”

“Just want to say how PROFESSIONAL MOSS SERVICE was when picking up my neighbor when he passed on Wednesday. He was a veteran, and when they brought him out of the house they had a flag draped over him. And 2 vets themselves were there playing taps.
