Sellers-Smith gained my deepest trust and respect in February 2016 by helping my family and I lay my mother to rest with the same grace and dignity with which she lived. I was only 23, and I had never planned a funeral, but Deloris and the wonderful employees of Sellers-Smith put me at a comfort level and patiently answered all of my questions and accommodated our requests. (Even when we were a little difficult!) Also, the visitation and service were conducted with order and on schedule, but the employees still treated me with compassion when I wanted to spend a few moments after the visitation viewing my mother's body, for example. The service and burial were beautiful, and the funeral program memorialized my mother beautifully. Sellers-Smith employees were attentive to my/my family's needs throughout the day. We had "say-so" in the process, but never to the point where we were overwhelmed. Both during and after funeral planning, all paperwork/legal matters (e.g. death certificates, etc) were handled promptly and professionally. Eight months later, I am even more grateful for the excellent services we received from Sellers-Smith. Knowing that Sellers-Smith gave its best for my mom's homegoing service has truly helped in the healing process. Not only did their efficient services ease the pressure many of the planning and paperwork-related tasks in our tough time, but knowing that my mother was lain to rest with the utmost care and respect gives me lasting peace.
