Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Rest Haven is a beautiful cemetery, but it's sliding into decay since Mr. Ebersole passed. The trees are dying, many have been removed and limbs are always falling. There is worsening erosion behind the beautiful antique stone walls lining the Hamilton Run, which adds enormous historical charm to the cemetery. Yet no attempt is being made to preserve these walls and stop the erosion, even as it may threaten some grave sites. Unless management changes course, over the next decade or two Rest Haven will look more like a treeless golf course than pastoral manor grounds.”
