Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

For the people who hasn't been to this funeral home, before they open the doors it is too easy to mistakenly look into the window and see your loved one's body in the coffin inside the room your loved one is in. I saw my loved one's body before I even walked in and that is not okay! Also, I get that my brother had some skin issues considering how he passed but the makeup was orange and terrible! It didn't match my brothers complexion and it looked like no effort was made to even try. If my brothers body was that bad off, why wasn't a closed casket done? It looked nothing like my brother. Which is traumatizing. My mom didn't even think it was him. His body started deteriorating I guess but the makeup was unacceptable. The makeup added onto that and somehow I feel like he was unrecognizable because of the makeup, nothing to do with what happened to him itself.”
