“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
“Do you offer payment plans?”
Many funeral homes allow you to spread the cost over time. Ask about down payments, terms, and financing options.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Please, please read this before choosing this for your loved ones!! This place is terrible. I went to visit my families resting place just to not find them. I know the place by heart and to see their plaques were completely covered and nowhere to be found, I'm assuming from more current burials around them.. it broke me. I sat next to the tree that's next to them and just couldn't believe they weren't there. As I paid my respects I noticed many grave sites had collapsed in, tombstones broken, trash and just an blatant disrespect for our deceased. If your family is buried here, my advice would be to visit and check the site. I uncovered at least 10 myself. These people deserve to be in prison or worse. God may be forgiving but not to this, to whoever runs/works at this place, you reap what you sow. I'll be making some calls after the holidays to see what can be done. Even if it starts with a petition to remove the current owners/workers and allowing the state to own/run it would be much better than this.”
