Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

She explained the process thoroughly, she was so responsive to all of our calls and emails. She was able to get all the necessary paperwork and she happily obliged with all of our requests. The place itself was clean, everything was done on time, Abigail and her staff were so kind, empathetic, patient and really helped us through this difficult time. This was an unexpected passing of my Father and we didn't know much but like I said she went over everything to make sure we had the proper Hindu ceremony and respected all of our cultural wishes. My Dad was given a proper and the most beautiful heartfelt funeral. The flowers, casket, ceremony to all the details couldn't have been more perfect. My only dislike was the mic for the speeches there was a loud echo making it difficult for the people to hear the speeches but during the recorded live stream the voices were recorded just fine so we have this forever.
