Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“As one of the limited funeral homes in Canton, the services offered are excessively priced, without delivering high quality service. The parking area is small, congested & poses an inconvenience for guests, which SHOULD be reflected in their pricing. During my inquiry after the funeral, Daphne exhibited rudeness and a lack of respect when I requested info re the individuals who sent flowers & cards, directing me instead to contact my heirs. Furthermore, Daphne/staff neglected to inform ME about the date and time for the viewing of the Body, despite being told by a relative to come in & sign docs only, which turned out to be for a viewing. It is incorrect to ASSUME that all heirs are informed, as I was not. The disrespect & undermining is unnaceptible. Since I PAID a part for the services, I had every right to be updated on this info & much more. The OVERALL coordination, planning and professionalism were lacking, leaving me UNIMPRESSED.”

“first there's only two black funeral home in canton , Mississippi the funeral home has service the area for several year, however when my father past the director was good but once the service was over it went DOWN HILL... its has if we were bothering him to get the death certificate that was order in December 2020 and it now the last day of march2021.. he's stating that he haven't received it yet vital record states it been given to him... Canton MS is a small town and my father wasn't a saint however we feel that the certificate was given to his girl friend for a policy . I paid for two and I want my two.. You maybe better going across the street they may not be fancy yet have given our father headstone in a timely fashion”
