“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“My friend's grandfather's funeral services were today at Eternal Light. She has been the main point of contact for all of the funeral arrangements for the family. Overall, the service was very nice and professional. However, while they were putting her grandfather's casket into the mausoleum space, the funeral director yelled at my friend for videotaping it with her personal phone and would not let her leave until she deleted it. Even if there is a policy that relates to the videotaping, there should have been a more professional way of handling it. She was left feeling embarrassed and disrespected.”

“Your answer to my review is unacceptable. You must do better. It is so disturbing and disgraceful every time I come to this unkept place to see my deceased family members! If you cannot see the cracked benches you must never walk the grounds of your cemetery. There is absolutely NO reason why the mausoleums, and the whole cemetery in general, should look so disgusting. They have never been taken care of properly l, even before you started construction. Your answer is disgraceful. You property should be inspected by the authorities and OSHA. I have been very, very disappointed the last few times I have gone to see my family members in this cemetery. It is filthy to say the least. There are many open and cracked gravesites in the mausoleums. It feels like a big, messy construction zone. There are tractor tire tracks and construction debris all over. The floors are dirty and mold is growing everywhere in the buildings. There are piles of chairs from recent funerals everywhere, and broken chairs strewn around. There are also a lot of cracked benches. I feel this is a desecration to the people buried there. I am very sad that this cemetery looks so, so bad. This is not just a one time thing here. The cemetery has been steadily going downhill. To think of the money spent for all of the families to have a final resting place for their loved ones to be at looking so, so bad is awful and disrespectful. Something much change here! I feel that the county and whoever oversees the cemetery should be taking a much closer look into what is happening there.”
