“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“They gets ZERO stars! The funeral home directors were so rude to my handicapped mother. First over the phone than in person. We called days before, to find out if the building was handicapped accessible. There answering service company never got back to us. We didn’t know the building wasn’t accessible until the day before my aunts viewing &funeral ! Than we called& they finally answered the phone. The staff told my handicapped mother. There’s is way in the building; the lift they bring the dead body’s on! Than he asked how much electric wheelchair weights and her. All of this to you know we’re not accessible ! First For my Aunts viewing; I asked could I use the microphone. He told me it’s not that many people. I can stand in the middle of the floor and talk! For the actual funeral one of the directors was rude. I asked him why haven’t he check on my mother? Who was outside in the hot heat! He than told me , O she’s alright her family out there and you! I said excuse me! You don’t check on people who can’t get in your buildings? He told me no he doesn’t! I said as business it’s common courtesy. Please don’t place your loved ones in there care! They’re very rude& ignorant! No empathy or sympathy for people who has passed or for people with disabilities and handicapped”
