Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.

Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“My family and I decorated for a loved one for the upcoming holiday, today we went to take a visit and found the cemetery had held a burial right next to where the loved one was burried and looks like the stuff was touched and thrown into a spot. As you can see in the first photo his decorations were going in the opposite way of where this burial happened. There was no need for any decorations to be moved around as we pinned these to the floor we know it was not the wind or weather. We did make a complaint to the office and the person we talked to on the phone was very nice and understanding. She was a great help but we are just very disappointed to see his grave this way”
