“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”

Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Memory Gardens is a well known and large cemetery in Tampa. The grounds are well kept, with large oak trees which shade a good part of the gravesides. I was trying to help my brother find the grave of his former father in-law, J.C. Johnson. The staff was extremely helpful in providing maps and guidance. I would periodically stop and walk around exploring where he was buried. It was very serene and well marked. Unfortunately, no one had placed a ground plaque for either he or his wife, Lillian; but, at one time there had been a vase at the site, which is no longer there.
