“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“Corey and Kenia handled my father's cremation with caring and expertise. They made sure that the entire process was handled with care at a time of such deep grief. My family and I live in N.C. but their company made it possible to handle everything online by filling out the short form and paying for the services chosen online with ease. Shortly upon completing the form and making the payment I was called by Kenia who answered all of my questions and made sure that everything was accurate on the form. Corey picked up my father's remains from the coroner within 48 hours of completing the form and making the payment. Within 5 days of starting the process my father was cremated and his remains and death certificate was mailed to me. For a simple cremation. Sadly my father's body was badly decomposed so there was no need for any type of funeral services. Kenia made contact with me at every step from the remains being picked up to calling me from the post office to let me know the remains were being mailed as well as sending me a photo of the postal receipt showing the tracking number and date I should receive his remains and death certificate. They made sure to handle this entire process expeditiously and professionally with the upmost dignity and respect.
