Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of professionalism from this place! I came to pick up the cremated remains of my grandmother today, I ordered my own urn and dropped it off with them 3 weeks ago and also asked for some ashes to be separated for jewelry for all her grandkids. I came in and they tried to hand her to me in a cardboard box that looked like it was from an old Amazon delivery. Upon asking why she wasn't in her urn they brought out paperwork and told me I chose to provide my own urn. I responded by saying I knew that I've already brought it too you. They were very taken aback and proceeded to ask me to describe the urn. While answering her questions she continuously interrupted me to shush me because another family was having their service. I left this place in tears after waiting a long time for her to transfer my grandmother into her urn and separate some of her ashes because they forgot in the first place! It broke my heart to see the blatant disrespect they treated my loved one with. I will never recommend this mortuary to anyone!”
