“Can I see your General Price List?”
Federal law (FTC Funeral Rule) requires them to give you itemized pricing. You have every right to ask.
“Do you accept insurance assignment?”
Ask whether assignment is available for your policy and location, what fees apply, and what you must pay upfront. MedaSynq does not arrange assignments.
“What's included vs. what's extra?”
Packages may not include everything. Ask about the casket, embalming, transportation, facility fees, and death certificate copies.
Know Your Rights
Under the FTC Funeral Rule, funeral homes must give price information by telephone and a written General Price List when you visit in person. Federal law does not require them to send the list by mail or email. You can select individual goods and services and use a casket purchased elsewhere.

“I was very impressed with the level of care and consideration shown with the handling of my needs, my situation involved the need for correspondence and accommodations for some overseas help, I can not thank Alicia enough for her quick and caring response to our needs even on a weekend. I feel the service and attention to detail on our behalf was exceptional. I will be contacting them very soon to have my own arrangements put in place for when the time comes, the level of trust, professionalism and confidence in a company is unparalleled. I am so grateful to them.”

“Amy, from the Neptune Society came to our home to explain how Neptune Society works and answered all our questions. I have been putting off planning end of life arrangements, honestly, because I didn’t want to deal with our eventual mortality. But, we had to face the fact that we weren’t getting any younger & it was time. It was important for us to take care of end of life wishes & arrangements to save our family from having to deal with this at our passing. Amy made this whole difficult process much lighter & easier.”

“I cannot say enough about Zach and the incredible care, compassion, and professionalism he showed during one of the hardest times of our lives. From the moment he began assisting our family, he was kind, supportive, and genuinely caring always going above and beyond to make an incredibly difficult process just a little bit easier. Zach has a rare combination of professionalism and humanity. He treated my Dad and our family with such respect, empathy, and understanding that it made a world of difference during this heartbreaking time. His warmth, patience, and dedication will never be forgotten. If you want someone who truly cares and makes a hard situation more bearable, Zach is extraordinary. We are deeply grateful for everything he has done. Thank you again!!”
